But Salesforce’s cap of 100 sites per organization was a key challenge to offering this level of scalability. In close collaboration with Radical One, Fonteva set out to design a solution that would enable large-scale, unique community management within Salesforce’s framework. The result of this partnership was “Enterprise Community+”—a new approach that overcame Salesforce’s limitations and expanded Fonteva’s capabilities in community management.

When Fonteva engaged Radical One for this ambitious project, both teams knew it would require more than just a technical workaround. Radical One dedicated a core team of experts, led by a senior architect and team lead, to work side-by-side with Fonteva’s own engineering team, combining knowledge, experience, and innovative thinking. Together, they crafted a solution that would not only solve the immediate challenge but also deliver greater value and scalability for Fonteva’s customers.

Reimagining Community Management

Fonteva and Radical One collaborated to understand the constraints around Salesforce’s site limits, brainstorming ways to meet enterprise clients’ needs within these parameters. The solution they arrived at involved consolidating multiple communities under a single Experience Site, enabling a virtually limitless number of communities to coexist without hitting Salesforce’s cap.

Working closely, the teams built a flexible architecture that allowed each community to be independently customizable—ensuring unique branding, content, and user experiences—while centralizing essential data like payment methods and addresses for consistency and ease of management. This cooperative approach enabled both teams to contribute their best ideas, ensuring a solution that balanced technical innovation with practical usability for Fonteva’s clients.

Overcoming Challenges as a Team

Naturally, a project of this scale involved its share of challenges. Midway through development, one of Radical One’s engineers unexpectedly departed for personal reasons. But with the strength of the partnership, both Fonteva and Radical One adapted quickly, reassigning resources and keeping the project on schedule. This commitment to collaboration and flexibility ensured that the project continued smoothly without compromising quality or timelines.

The result of this partnership is Enterprise Community+, a solution that equips Fonteva’s clients to build and manage hundreds of community sites without being constrained by Salesforce’s original limitations. The key outcomes include:

  • Customizable Experiences: Each community remains independently customizable, ensuring a tailored user experience for different audiences, all while benefiting from unified data management.
